Dear K-5 Families,
During the first days of school, all K-5 students watched a video from me, where I shared our GASD theme of Make it Matter for this school year. To kick off our year on a positive note, students participated in a read aloud of the book “The Dot” – by Peter H Reynolds. The story is about a student who after some encouragement from an Art teacher, discovers all of the amazing things that can be created with just a dot. We have a theme board in GAPS as well as GAES which will feature a unique dot from every student in our school. While the boards are still being created, I wanted to share some photos of their progress. In honor of International Dot Day, we are having a theme day on September 15th. Pull out the POLKA DOTS and join me in celebrating Dot Day!
