Wellness

Wellness includes the development of physically literate individuals that display competence in various motor skills and movement patterns. Through organized activities, students develop knowledge of strategies and tactics related to movement and skills to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. A high degree of emphasis is placed on developing responsible personal and social behaviors while highlighting self-expression and social interaction.

Wellness is health in mind, body, and spirit. It is much more than just not being sick. Wellness means feeling good; taking care of your body; and liking yourself, your family, and friends. Wellness also means making the most of what you have, being hopeful in good times and bad, and living your life in the most satisfying way possible. - Unknown
