GAPS/GAES Parent-Teacher Organization

Welcome to Greencastle-Antrim’s Primary & Elementary PTO! 

PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, and it consists of parents and teachers working together to enhance and encourage our school's educational and social environment. We support our primary and elementary school staff and students through volunteering, funding, and seeking opportunities that allow for socializing, communication, and growth.

The PTO is made up of several officers: Sarah Peterson, president; Nicole Deeds, executive vice-president, MaryBeth Settlage, secretary; and Kristine Hoffmaster, treasurer. We also have many committee chair members who make up our PTO, in addition to our wonderful school staff and volunteers. If you are a father, mother, protector/guardian, or a person who teaches or instructs at Greencastle – you can become a member!

Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and benefit the school. To meet this objective – we fundraise. Those funds go to so many things, including back-to-school breakfast for teachers, back-to-school activities for students, Kona Ice night, teacher appreciation, all field trips (including transportation), 100th-day ice cream for all students, student planners, and more!

Since we serve such a large group of students and plan many activities and events, we need volunteers to be successful! This is where you come in! We need volunteer help and so do your child(ren)! A special thanks to all our volunteers both past and present who have helped us make what we do possible!
